What is OIJGC? –

Optimist International Junior Golf Championships (OIJGC) is one of the largest and most prestigious events for junior golfers ages 10 -18. Each year over 5,000 young golfers compete in qualifying tournaments around the world. Over 650 junior golfers earn an opportunity to compete in the international event held at the PGA National in West Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Players compete in their age divisions of 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, and 16-18. (Age limits are determined by last date of OIJGC tournament, July 28.)

Some former winners in Optimist-sponsored tournaments include Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Davis Love III, Michelle McGann, Nancy Lopez, and Justin Leonard.
